I had such fun photographing Isaac and Beth's wedding. First of all, let me just share that I was lucky enough to photograph Isaac's father's wedding in 2013, Beth's sister's wedding (as a Mike Staff Productions photographer) in 2017, and now Isaac and Beth's wedding. I am absolutely honored that I have been able to create so many memories for this wonderful family.
Beth and Isaac got married on June 16th, 2018, at the Central United Methodist Church on Woodward in Detroit. This is the church they belong to. They also belong to the choir, and a couple of the groomsmen had dual roles as groomsmen and choir participants. It was awesome to watch.
Every wedding day has that Moment. Well. That moment for Isaac and Beth came when it was time for the rings. Isaac's brother Jeremiah was the Best Man. Poor Jeremiah was confused about why there was more than one ring for Beth, and ended up only bringing the one. As you can see by the photos, Beth noticed immediately, at which point Jeremiah left to go get the other ring. The first thing Rev. Jeff Nelson said once Jeremiah had gone was, "so, anything new happening?" LOL. This guy was great. After a bit, a very helpful guest came up to the front and offered another "for now" ring to the lovely couple. Luckily, Jeremiah came back within just a minute or two after that, and the ceremony continued.
The first picture you see is a full frame film picture. (the glare at the top was from taking a iPhone pic of it for the blog... grr) This 16x20 black and white film print shows off the full negative. It was taken, developed, and finally printed by me, by hand, custom for Isaac an Beth's wedding.
Finally, one of my favorite things at a wedding is to gather several generations of the ladies, and take a beautiful picture of their hands. I did this for Beth's sister Kendra's wedding with Kendra, her mom, and grandmother, and just knew I'd have to do it again for Beth's wedding, recreating it but with Beth this time.
All in all, it was a FANTASTIC day filled with so very much Joy and Love. Congratulations to Beth and Isaac. I raise a glass to you both. Here is to a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness.
PS - Here is Beth and Isaac waaaaaayyyyy back in 2013 at Carter and Andrea's 2013 wedding!
